Taking care of our planet starts with small actions that, when we do them together, can make a big difference. One of these actions is properly sorting our waste at the school’s recycling stations, ensuring that each material is handled correctly and, whenever possible, given a second life.

At Gimnasio El Hontanar, we use a color-coded waste separation system: white bins are for clean and dry recyclable materials, green bins are for organic waste, and black bins are for non-recyclable waste. We also have special collection points for batteries, electronic waste (e-waste), Tetra Pak containers, plastic bottle caps, and Botellitas de Amor, helping us manage these materials responsibly.

Every time we choose the right bin, we contribute to a cleaner school, a stronger culture of environmental awareness, and a more sustainable future. Because at Hontanar, taking care of the planet is also part of learning.
