Gimnasio El Hontanar understands the bilingual development of its students from academic and cultural perspectives. Learning a second language is about learning also a second culture. It is our purpose to enrich the second language acquisition process, as well as the international awareness of our students through the implementation of varied strategies.
That is how the school´s “International Teachers Team” project looks forward to enhance second language use in and outside the classrooms through cultural and academic activities that enhance English as a language of regular communication, having an impact on the whole school community. We reinforce our bilingual staff choosing specific professional profile teachers that come to Colombia and help us promote the English language in all its dimensions.
