Our commitment, passion, and love for the education of our children is reflected on the ISCE 2018 results. (Quality in Education Synthesized Rate) it is an analysis tool provided by the Ministry of Education who supports schools and follows up their improvement processes in order to make of Colombia the best educated country in Latin America in 2025.
Social awareness is a relevant educational component at Hontanar. We celebrate Senior citizens during this day. This year our guests, coming from HOGAR GERIATRICO SAN JOSE, visited our school last April 24th. A group of students in representation of the school community, organized special activities.
Last April 3d, The New England School hosted the second educational forum: “Education in the Digital Era”. Various workshops, lectures, and conferences were attended by teachers, boards, and administrative staffs with the purpose of sharing experiences in relation to the incorporation of technology in daily practices. We were all motivated to keep up facing this Digital Era’s challenge for the education of our students. .

“Towards a Green School”, our first environment care school encounter, took place this past April 11th in our Chia facilities.
Different school experiences were presented regarding environment care practices developed in various schools in Bogota.
Around 15 schools participated in the spirit of commitment towards the education of the present generations in the development of a “green culture” that is promoted from school.
We are very thankful for the meaningful contributions made by the community in the construction of eco-bricks during the second term of 2017. We are pleased to inform that on February 23d, we made the second delivery of 190 eco-bricks to Foundation Maria del Refugio Del Amor Santo, institution that is presently building up the first chapel made with eco-bricks in Latin America. It is located at La Sierra, Cundinamarca.
You are invited to keep the spirit of cooperation in the making of these eco-bricks in school as well as at home. Also maintaining and reinforcing awareness of environment care by developing appropriate waste management supporting this important social initiative.
